Large power tools

Encompassing the Mill and the Cold saw, large power tools are the most dangerous but most effective tools in the machine shop. In order to use either machine, a safety test must be taken with 100% accuracy. These machines are capable of processing large amounts of material incredibly quickly, but in doing so, create a large mess that must always be cleaned up after use, or it poses a safety risk, since the chips are often razor sharp and will stick to clothes.

When large power tools, or any power tools for that matter, are being used, safety glasses are an absolute imperative, however gloves are discouraged, as they can get wrapped up in a spinning apparatus and cause extreme bodily harm. These large power tools are much stronger than a person, and carry massive amounts of kinetic energy when working.
